ALAMA is the mark of high quality, environmentally sound, innovative design solutions.
Alama is a Swahili word meaning ‘mark, sign, or symbol.’ Established in 2010 as VK Green Architects Ltd. and renamed in July 2020.
We fuse a Tanzanian Swahili identity with 21st-century ingenuity — designing structures that enhance both the natural and built environments.

Using the Green Design Approach, ALAMA strives toward solutions that harmoniously integrate buildings with the surrounding natural and built environment. Efficient use of energy, water and greenery, with careful selection of materials, synthesized into a sustainable built environment.

An integrated design approach balances ideas from the client, the design team and specialists, forging those inputs into the final success of the project. We work closely from the early design stage to consider development conditions, space, materials and building systems.
